Getting Started:
To create buttons it is best if you are familiar with design programs such as Adobe Photoshop. If you do not have a graphics program, you can download Adobe Photoshop at Download.com.
File types we accept are: The best file-types to send us are: PSD (Photoshop), EPS, PDF, and high-quality JPG. (PSDs should be unflattened. Illustrator files need to have the bleed lines turned off, the outside 1.3" line turned on, and all fonts converted to outlines.) Your file needs to be ready to print and in one of these formats! We will not accept other file types.
Resolution/DPI: When you are creating a new file (or saving a file) most programs give you the option of changing the resolution. The resolution [or "dots per inch" (DPI)] is how many pixels are in each inch. The larger the number (DPI) the more detail you can get in your graphics.
Images you see on websites have 72 DPI. Graphics that are printed have anywhere from 150 DPI – 600 DPI. Our button templates are 300 DPI in order to provide you with the clearest quality buttons possible.
The images that you'll use for your buttons need to be 300 DPI or fit well in the template. If the images start out smaller then our template (and have to be enlarged to fit) they will not turn out well. (Low DPI images make for poor buttons!)

This is the basic template that we use to design and create our buttons! The red circle is the button's face (where you want your image to go), and the outer circle is the button's edge.
When you make your design, you'll want to fit everything within the red circle, and all your important text within the green circle. Everything outside the red circle is called the "bleed space": the space you'll see along the outside of the button.
