About Us:
Poseur Ink was formed in 2003 as a small press comic book publisher and alternative apparel shop by writer/illustrator Rachel Dukes. While primarily selling their products on the web, Poseur Ink also attends several comic book conventions annually and select merchandise is carried in alternative stores across the country. Side A: The Music Lover's Graphic Novel is their first large anthology.

About the Name:
Poseur Ink was named with the concept that everyone is posing off of some subculture - or combination of cultures - that they love and hold dear. That we are made up of the influences of the things we enjoy most. It's with that thought in mind that we do our best to create products that we enjoy and hope others will enjoy as well.

In the first grade, she drew her first comic strips and proclaimed to her teacher that she would like to do comics when she grew up. At the age of ten she was approached by the LA Times to do a syndicated comic strip, but turned their offer down because she was ten and didn’t know any better. Rachel started her first online comic, Fanfare, in her Junior year of High School, and built a website which would later become Poseur Ink. In fall 2006 Rachel interned at Top Cow Entertainment, was one of the first recipients of the Women Webcomikers Grant NAN, and graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Media Arts and Animation. She currently lives in San Diego with her fiance, Mike, and is working on pre-production for a graphic novel, Primary, to debute in April 2007. Mike Lopez Birthdate: 10-16 Contact: mike [at] poseurink [dot] com URL: Mod Buttons Birthplace: San Diego, CA Biography: Mike was born in San Diego at the age of 0 in 1986. Despite his age, he marched on and persevered through the trials of elementary, middle, and high school. Mike indulged himself in independent study and graduated a year early. Currently attending Mesa Community College, Mike plans to major in graphic design. He designs for Poseur Ink and does freelance work for bands.
