Amazing February Edition

● February 22nd, 2009 ● No Comments

Hey guys,

Welcome to a new month of the Poseur Ink newsletter! Lots has happened within the last month, and I’m so excited to pass the news on.

First and foremost, we posted the final contributors list for our newest release, Side B: The Music Lover’s Comic Anthology, over on the website with some awesome previews. It includes such amazing artists as Jeffrey Brown, Ryan Kelly, Jim Mahfood, and Brandon Graham. As well as Xeric Grant winners: Box Brown, Colleen Frakes, Joshua Kemble, Ed Choy Moorman, and Gary Beatty.

The book is 232 pages long with 54 stories, b/w interior with a colour cover (with spot gloss!), and will retail at $22.99. It’s being distributed by Diamond Distributors and will be available for pre-order in the April edition of Previews. (It’ll hit stores on June 3rd.)

Speaking of anthologies, I made it into Julia Wertz’s latest masterpiece I Saw You…Comics Inspired by Real-Life Missed Connections published by Random House. It was released earlier this month, and is a really great anthology with a ton of awesome indie artists in it.

While I haven’t received my contributors copy yet, I did look through it at the comic book shop (when I went to pick up Scott Pilgrim 5) and it truly is a quality book. I’d highly recommend picking it up if you have a spare $12 bucks. (It’s available directly from the Random House site, Amazon, and comic shops all over the nation.)

Or, you could pick it up this weekend at Wondercon! We’ll be exhibiting this weekend in Artist Alley at Wondercon 2009 at the fabulous Moscone Center South. We’ll be table table AA57 selling all of our shirts, comics, buttons, and showing off a mock up of Side B: The Music Lover’s Comic Anthology.

Comics are going well and keeping me busy. Primary will begin updating again come March 9th, and then we’ll be good to go.

See you next month,
Rachel Dukes
